Steve Trood with Medical Trek in Nepal

Medical Trek Nepal volunteer featured on Red Bull Blog!

We are thankful Steve Trood for what he has done for people in Nepal and Kathmandu Clothing for support his trip.

“Prior to us embarking on the trip, I emailed the trekking company we were travelling with and asked if I needed to bring any medical gear. They replied ‘No, no, we’re covered. We’ve got it all.’ Anyway, whilst we were trekking, one of the RSL Life Care girls came down with an illness – she was vomiting, not holding down water. Volunteer Teaching Trek – Teaching Abroad Experience

Join us for our Nepal volunteer teaching adventure!

This is another great way to volunteer in Nepal, and still spend your time experiencing the epic sites and amazing culture. Since the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal, many schools have been damaged and classes have been disrupted, also many school supplies were lost. As a Teaching Trek Nepal volunteer, you can help us rebuild schools, lessons and children’s spirits in remote villages of Nepal.

You do not need to have a teaching license of formal teaching training to join this trek, but you do need to be fluent in English and have a desire to spend time sharing knowledge in these rural classrooms.  For upcoming trek, click here

Trekkers' Story

Volunteering Overseas After Natural Disaster
By Tammra Warby, BSc (Hon1), MBBS, Ph.D, FRACGP

"...We saw a lot of what you might expect by people who have worked hard all their lives, such as arthritis and stomach problems. It was humbling and rewarding to be part of something like that – to witness resilience in people who had lost everything and to learn about their country and culture at the same time."

I Came Back
By Jacqueline Gaspar BK

"...So I decided to come back again for the June trek! I figured before I got back into study which started in July, I might as well go back for the 4 week program which was the 2 week trek in the Kavre district and then volunteering at Annapurna Neurological Hospital for 2 weeks...."
